Dr. Scott E. Trout, D.D.S.
Dr. Trout has been a lifelong resident of Muncie, graduating from Muncie Northside High School in 1975. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University in 1979 and Doctor of Dental Surgery from Indiana University in 1983. Since then he has continued his studies, training in post-graduate courses in cad-cam dentistry, implant dentistry, cosmetics, endodontic therapy, periodontal soft-tissue laser and many other general dentistry procedures. Dr. Trout is licensed to practice Dentistry in the State of Indiana, and holds memberships in: American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Academy of CAD/CAM Dentistry.
Dr. Trout opened his private practice in 1983 and moved to his location on West Jackson Street in July 2007. He and his wife, the former Barb Tippenhauer, a Muncie Burris graduate, remain active residents in the Muncie community, where they have 3 grown children.
Dr. Trout is an active member in First Muncie BNI, recently serving as Vice President and currently serving on the Membership Committee. He is also an active member of the Magic City Music Men, Muncie’s chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. His quartet, SoundAffect, performs all over East Central Indiana and also competes regularly.
Dr. Trout’s professional interests include continuing research on the interrelationship of general health and oral health as well as maintaining cutting-edge proficiency in the area of computerized restorative dentistry.
